Ultimate Valentine

Having made arrangements with her place of employment that she have the day "off", I begin the morning by bringing her a fresh cut bouquet of pink and white valentine sweet peas. The scent still fresh in the air and she dressed in her Valentines red, I wisk her off to an early morning breakfast.Scented_Valentine After this delightful meal, we drive while "Norah Jones" lyrically pleads..."Come Away With Me", a definate foreshadowing of events to come. We arrive at the movie theater where I purchase tickets to see "How to Lose A Guy In 10 Days", a movie she has been wishing to see and I hope, not really wishing to take notes from. Following the movie and another short drive, she is delivered unto one of her favorite restaurants where we order drinks and a meal. We talk about the movie, the beautiful day and other such things. Finally, on return trip...we stop for a moment to enjoy the final few rays of a warm glowing sunset...just she and me. So what was so great about this day? Perhaps not as showy or filled with so many trinkets, but the fact that you spend the whole day, intimately with the one you love. And then you ask, "What did she give you?". Surely you have not missed the real point of the holiday...or you would realize that she gave me the most precious gift of all....her heart!
